(more about that next week)…
Hope your holidays were fun, relaxing and filled with goodies. Mine was pretty quiet and I enjoyed the peaceful days.
Busy days followed… and somehow the week flew by.
Have a long list of Things to Do, don’t you?
And yesterday I came up with a word for what I am doing with my list.
Procrasturbating…
I will leave it up to you to play with that for awhile.
For me it fits what I’ve been doing (or not doing) quite well.
Putting things off until tomorrow like Scarlett O’Hara …
Fiddle dee dee.
Not exactly the way to Get Things Done.
And yet, are all Americans and perhaps people in other countries in a kind of limbo land, waiting to see, seeing and waiting and procrasturbating about what to do depending upon their current situation and the absurd circumstances we are dealing with ?
Procrasturbation Can Be Fun (from a “dirty” song in the play and movie Hair)…
As I watched various movies last weekend, I was amazed, astonished and quite surprised to hear a character in a movie utter one of my father’s favorite phrases…I had looked it up online, searched for it years ago, but never found it before last week.
My dad used the term whenever my brother and I were acting silly so the impression I had was that it meant we were acting bonkers, crazy, nutty, sillier than just plain silly.
Nutsy fagan
Nutsy Fagan is when someone is in a situation with another someone who is acting completely out of sorts (nuts, loony, berserk) and can sometimes, if successful, make the people around them embarrassed or disgusted.
"Nutsy Fagan was a kook that lived in New York many years ago. He used to follow funeral processions like they were parades. He would dance behind the procession."
by Sydney Marie September 11, 2006
Apparently there is a popular song from 1923 named, "Nutsey Fagan."
Someone there posted that his late father (born in 1888 in NYC) used it as a mild expletive to mean "Rats!" The person posting this said clearly it didn't have an anti-Semitic quality (as suggested by Fagin in "Oliver Twist") or his dad wouldn't have used it.
Then there was an entertainer in NYC named Nutsey Fagan, who was Tarzan in movies and was famous for daredevil swimming acts.
There was a Nutsy Fagan comic strip in the 50s.
Also from the 50s-60s, Jackie Gleason used to do a bartender skit on his TV show where hed talk about Nutsey Fagan, but you never saw the character.
In "The Producers" Zero Mostel calls someone a "Nutsey Fagan."
even found a video of a Nutsy Fagan commercial from the 70’s spicy peanuts
(Cannot find Oshmo the Torch carrier…or Mary Sugar Bum (other phrases muttered about by my parents)
Did or do your parents have funny phrases that they utilize or said and you don’t really know what they meant???
Twenty-Two-ness of 2022
22 is a Master Number and suggests that it's a good time to BUILD. And to lay the foundations (22 reduces to 4 - a nice earthy square number of Form and Foundations)
22 is a Master number and the ancient numerical value for a circle. As such it implies completion, fulfillment and cyclicity. Under a 22, you are reaching your goal; the fulfillment of your secret desires can become a reality. Success on a huge scale and attainment of those impossible dreams are very possible. You should make those big plans, dare the mighty deeds you have only contemplated up to now. Travelling toward a goal can also suggest physical travel, which is a distinct possibility here.
Make sure your concepts are well organized and practical. Think in large sweeping terms."
2022 reduces to 6, of course, and I see that on January 1, 2022 it was Blue Rhythmic Night. Rhythmic = Tone 6 so that is a perfect dovetail!
Tarot symbolism: Key 0 (and 22) The Fool
The master number 22 holds a unique position in the Tarot deck. Theoretically, the Major Arcana begins at key 1 and continues through key 21. The Minor Arcana begins at 23, the King of Wands, and continues on to 78, the Ten of Pentacles. The Fool, as key 0, stands by itself, representing the God force. 22 would seem to be missing; however, since cyclicity is the essence of life, there can be no ending. Therefore, the Fool, key 0, is the life force before entering manifestation, and 22 is the same key 0, the Fool, having walked the 21 keys of the Major Arcana to complete the full cycle and step once more beyond the present incarnation.
The Fool is the super-conscious, pictured here as having room to take one more step. This indicates that we never come to the limit of our potentials.
The Fool here is the cosmic life force about to descend, inexperienced, into the world of manifestation."
"Earth and Uranus rule this card. Since the master number 22 reduces to 4, the earth holds dominion in this vibration, coupled with Uranus, which is assigned to key 0, the Fool.
Consciousness is a state of mind. The presence of Uranus here links the super-conscious to the earthly power indicated by the 22/4. A blending of spiritual conscious awareness with the proper use and control of the world's material offerings, including the body itself, gives the perfect state of being. Once this has been achieved, the individual is no longer bound by earthly considerations but merely uses them with reverence and respect."
