those who cannot convince, censor
a tour of cutting edge research in karenology from the possibly prestigious and certainly notorious “gato university,” home of the fighting badcats. (go cats!)
our lesson today is simple:
nothing drives the desire to censor one’s opponent like losing the debate badly.
and this is what drives this fundamental relationship (proven by lots of research of at least ostensible reliability) known as “the karen curve.”
it’s the fundamental building block of the science of karenology.
many have found this construct to be overly theoretical and so we go to our “applied karenology” department for some examples that might make this material more accessible.
as you can see, this relationship can be clearly observed in numerous real world contexts and works in bidirectional fashion.
as an argument becomes increasingly fractious and lost, its proponents seek to censor and to limit freedom.
and those winning seek free discourse.
…some strong conclusions may still be drawn because one thing is certain:
the side seeking to stifle debate is NEVER the side of science.
science thrives on challenge. it evolves BECAUSE it is contested and adversarial. the truth needs no protection. it grows stronger when engaged in open discourse and disputation.
the stories that must be protected from criticism are the other kind…
we also just got this fine addition from our lexical semantics department.
Shadowy far-left groups are behind the effort to silence Joe Rogan
Evidence emerges that the Rockefeller Foundation and Media Matters are pulling the strings.
Jordan Schachtel
Cancel culture has come for Joe Rogan, and The Dossier continues to uncover proof of powerful institutional support for the campaign to silence the enormously popular podcaster.
The campaign against Rogan began when a group of media-described “medical professionals” — they are largely academics and leftwing activists posing as medical professionals — laundered an “expert” petition in the media demanding that Spotify censor the Joe Rogan Experience.
Joe Rogan Up Against ‘Powerful Interests,’ as More Musicians Threaten to Remove Music From Spotify
“Do you really think it’s a coincidence that days after Neil Young’s music was pulled off of Spotify he debuts a 4-month free trial to any person who wants to sign up for Amazon music — who has struggled to gain market share and has long-standing connections with all of the big money people in the game?”
Joe Rogan in an Instagram video Monday addressed the growing controversysurrounding his podcast — “The Joe Rogan Experience” — telling fans he’s not interested in talking to people who have only one perspective. He also said he has a problem with the term “misinformation.”
Rogan’s statement came as the streaming platform Spotify on Sunday announced new rules designed to “combat” the spread of COVID“misinformation” on its platform.
The new rules came after a handful of musicians, including Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen’s guitarist Nils Lofgren and Joni Mitchell, pulled their music catalogs from Spotify, in an effort to force Spotify to choose between their music or Rogan’s podcast. Author Brené Brown also joined the protest, stating she won’t release new episodes of her Spotify-exclusive podcasts “until further notice.”
Spotify last week agreed to remove Young’s music.
…Rogan, Spotify’s star podcaster, signed a $100 million deal in 2020, giving the streaming service exclusive rights to his show. The podcast, available only on Spotify, reached No. 1 globally last year, the company said last month.
What used to be misinformation, now accepted as fact
According to Rogan’s 10-minute video, his podcast was accused of “spreading dangerous misinformation,” citing specifically his interviews with Dr. Peter McCullough and one with Dr. Robert Malone.”
Rogan said:
“Dr. Peter McCullough is a cardiologist and he’s the most published physician in his field in history. Dr. Robert Malone owns nine patents on the creation of mRNA vaccine technology and is at least partly responsible for the creation of the technology that led to mRNA vaccines.
“Both these people are very highly credentialed, very intelligent, very accomplished people and they have an opinion that’s different than the mainstream narrative. I wanted to hear what their opinion is.
“I had them on and because of that those episodes, in particular, those episodes were labeled as being dangerous, they had dangerous misinformation in them.”
Rogan said the issue he has with the term “misinformation” is that “many of the things we thought of as misinformation just a short while ago are now accepted as fact.”
Rogan explained:
“For instance, eight months ago if you said if you get vaccinated you can still catch COVID and you can still spread COVID, you would be removed from social media. They would ban you from certain platforms. Now that’s accepted as fact.
“If you said, I don’t think cloth masks work, you would be banned on social media. Now that’s openly, repeatedly stated on CNN.
“If you said, I think it’s possible that COVID-19 came from a lab, you would be banned from many social media platforms. Now, that’s on the cover as Newsweek.”
Rogan said all of those theories that “at one point in time” were banned, were openly discussed by McCullough and Malone who were accused of spreading dangerous misinformation.
Rogan said he wanted to make the video because he feels “people have a distorted perception” of what he does.
“I’m not trying to promote misinformation,” Rogan said. “I’m not trying to be controversial. I’ve never tried to do anything with this podcast other than just talk to people and have interesting conversations.”
Are Amazon and Hedge Funds trying to cancel Rogan?
In a video posted Jan. 31 on YouTube, Enjeti said there is more than meets the eye when it comes to musicians like Young pulling their catalogs from Spotify.
“The original impetus for Neil Young’s demand was a letter he posted on social media saying Spotify could either have Neil Young or Joe Rogan, but that letter was almost immediately deleted after it was posted,” Enjeti said.
“Who is demanding this? Enjeti asked. “Is it Neil Young or is it the people who own his music?”
Enjeti explained:
“You see a recent trend in the music business it that iconic artists such a Neil Young sell their catalogs to big-money groups who then reap the profits in perpetuity. Young actually sold his catalog in Jan. 2021 to a company called Hipgnosis. Now Hipgnosis is a $1 billion company that recently announced an ownership agreement with Blackstone.”
Enjeti said Blackstone is focused on taking over single-family housing and turning America into a nation of renters, but it also has interests everywhere.
“Blackstone, BlackRock and these big private equity giants are ruthless in their pursuit of profits and they’re savvy political players who know how to play the game,” Enjeti said. “They have all sorts of ties to the pharmaceutical industry, including announcing the former CEO and chairman of Pfizer would be joining Blackstone as a senior advisor.”
“Do you really think it’s a coincidence that days after Neil Young’s music was pulled off of Spotify he debuts a 4-month free trial to any person who wants to sign up for Amazon music — who has struggled to gain market share and has long-standing connections with all of the big money people in the game?” Enjeti asked.
“Open your eyes to see possibilities you may not have imagined,” Enjeti said. “At first it was simple, just Neil Young taking a stand.”
Now a lot of people with big money and a big agenda who would just so happen to profit if Rogan went down are speaking out, Enjeti added. “Joni Mitchell has come out and said she is going to stand in solidarity with Neil Young.”
Mitchell on Sept. 13, 2021, struck a publishing deal with Reservoir Media, Inc. (RMI). The top 10 owners of RMI are large private equity and investment firms.
Lofgren, who on Jan. 30 announced he was joining fellow musicians Mitchell and Young in their Spotify boycott, also does not own his music catalog.
Lofgren’s catalog was purchased on Dec. 16, 2021, by Sony Entertainment. The top 10 owners of Sony Group Corp. are large investment firms.
Enjeti said:
“You give into the mob, you give them an inch, they will keep coming. Will Spotify really be able to withstand up to the pressure? Who knows? Principles are not going to save you in this instance. Only money will.”
Enjeti said people better hold on to their seats and “hope that Joe prevails on this one,” as he is up against more powerful interests than many realize.
New Spotify rules don’t define ‘misinformation’
As part of its new rules, Spotify said it would add a content advisory to any podcast episode discussing COVID amid accusations it was allowing misinformation to spread on its platform.
The advisory will direct listeners to a “dedicated COVID-19 Hub,” which is described as a “resource that provides easy access to data-driven facts, up-to-date information as shared by scientists, physicians, academics and public health authorities around the world, as well as links to trusted sources.”
Spotify said this is the first content advisory of its kind and will roll out in the next few days.
The streaming giant also announced it will begin testing ways to highlight its platform rules to raise awareness around “what’s acceptable” and to help creators understand their accountability for the content they post on the platform.
The statement did not say who determines what is and is not misinformation and what is considered a “trusted source.”
Rogan said he supports Spotify putting a disclaimer on controversial podcasts about COVID and encouraging listeners to speak to their physicians.
Toronto Star and CBC Banned From Freedom Convoy Press Conference As PSY-OP To Call Truckers "Far-Right" Collapses, Fake Stories Revealed, Sabotage Caught On Camera
Truckers Have Enough Money To Stay On Parliament Hill for TWO Years, Trudeau Widely Despised, Along With Mainstream Media, Both Now "Fringe"

Keep on Trucking for Freedom
RFK Jr. says Go Truckers
According to RT News, the organizers of the protest initially estimated 1,600 trucks, a number that grew to 36,000 trucks, and later closer to 50,000. However, national media outlets and law enforcement reported anywhere from “hundreds” of trucks to figures in the low thousands over the past week.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday said he would not meet with the protesters because he does not believe in their goals.
…Gord Magill, a trucker for more than 25 years and participant in the convoy, slammed mainstream media coverage of the protest. Magill said the media zeroed in on a couple of protestors who don’t represent the views of the truckers.
In an op-ed published in Newsweek, Magill wrote:
“ … tarring a demonstration that drew in excess of 100,000 people as racist and full of fringe extremists based on the actions of two people is quite a reach, proof of nothing so much as the fact that the media is clutching at straws to smear us—which are in short supply.”
Travis Smith, an associate professor of political science at Concordia University in Montreal attended the protest and later wrote:
“Despite temperatures around -20C, I saw and met many women and men, from across the political spectrum, from disparate socioeconomic backgrounds, French- and English-speaking alike, young and old, vaccinated and unvaccinated, gathered to donate their time and the fruits of their culinary talents, such as hot bowls of chili and fresh baked goods, plus sandwiches, snacks, and beverages for the road.
“They delivered additional items donated by people who couldn’t make it in person, helped to shuttle people around, and offered what other assistance they could — including offers of accommodations or a place to take a hot shower.”
The protest organizers held a press conference Sunday and posted numerous videos calling for peace and showing protestors cleaning streets and washing statutes.
A post on Monday stated:
“After a night of protests, Canadians band together to ensure the streets are cleaned up. The world is watching. Keep it peaceful, keep it powerful, keep it Canadian.”
In another video, a trucker explained how he went to bed at midnight and woke up in the morning with a truckful of food. There were more than 50 boxes of food with multiple packages inside with notes thanking the truckers for standing up for the freedom of Canadians.
“It’s just awesome to be part of the fringe minority,” the man said, referring to a comment Trudeau made last week where he called the protestors a fringe minority with unacceptable views.
The truckers won support from Elon Musk who spoke out publicly in support of their cause.
…Convoy has enough funds for 4 years
As of today, the Freedom Convoy had raised more than $7.6 million ($9.7 million CAD) in donations and said they have enough funds to keep trucks there for up to four years, Newsweek reported.
Slawek Pietraszek, 43, said he plans to stay in Ottawa as long as he needs until a resolution is reached. Petraszek, a trucker who did not disclose his vaccination status, wants the government to agree to repeal all vaccine mandates.
“My fourth child was born this past Saturday, I’ve decided I need to do this for my family,” he said.
Dave Ridell, 59, has been transporting his grains by truck for the last 30 to 40 years. Ridell is concerned “government overreach has gotten out of hand, and politicians need to be held more accountable for what they are doing and the impact vaccine mandates are having on people.”
Ridell said truckers were once considered heroes along with other frontline workers, but the mandate on truckers cast aside many who “worked through the harder moments.”
Ridell, who didn’t disclose his vaccination status, hopes the Freedom Convoy will lead to all vaccine mandates being lifted.
“The amount of people who are unemployed because it’s their personal choice whether they want to be vaccinated or not, it’s not fair, just totally unfair,” he added.
“Freedom is here. We’re here with our voices. We’re here with our feet, and we’re not going to leave until we get our freedom all the time,” said another protester.
Saskatchewan premier says province will end proof-of-vaccine policy in ‘not-too-distant future’
Saskatchewan’s premier, Scott Moe, on Saturday said the province will end the current proof-of-negative-test and proof-of-vaccination policy “in the not-too-distant future” CBC News reported.
This is the second time Moe made a public comment about the potential removal of the provincial proof of vaccination policy. Earlier in the week, he said in an interview with John Gormley from CJME/CKOM radio that he thought requiring proof of vaccination had “for the most part run its course.”
“It increased our vaccination rates tremendously, but I think we’re getting to a point now where those that are not vaccinated likely aren’t going to get vaccinated,” Moe said.
According to the premier, the province needs to “have a discussion” about proof-of-vaccination requirements “sometime this month.”
As of Jan. 15, the Canadian government required all truck drivers entering Canada from the U.S., regardless of citizenship, to be fully vaccinated against COVID. Any driver who cannot show proof of vaccination will be denied entry and placed in quarantine for two weeks.
The U.S. government implemented the same policy last week on the American side of the border, which could potentially sideline 26,000 to 160,000 drivers who make regular trips across the Canada-U.S. border.
Inspired by the convoy, Australian truckers are driving to Canberra to protest vaccine mandates, as Victoria’s premier has warned COVID booster doses soon will be mandatory.

The Gavel Project Partners with the Lex Rex Institute to Fight COVID-19 Mandates
Phoenix, AZ – The newly founded legal organization The Gavel Project has announced a strategic partnership with the Lex Rex Institute with the shared goal of fighting illegal and unethical government, school, and employer COVID-19 mandates.
Americans across the country are facing continuing attacks on their freedoms as institutions around them force unwanted medical treatments (often literally) down their throats.
“Americans are homesick. We miss normal. It has been two years, and we’re still looking at mandates knowing that they are completely unjustified based on current evidence. It’s time to force the end of the pandemic through strategic litigation,” says Ryan Heath, President and CEO of The Gavel Project, an organization he founded in 2021 to legally represent people, especially children, who have been harmed by errant COVID-19 policies.
To further those goals, the Gavel Project is excited to announce its partnership with the Lex Rex Institute.
“The Lex Rex Institute is a legal and public outreach organization founded in March 2021 with the specific aim of empowering private individuals to hold government officials at every level accountable to their sworn oaths to uphold the Constitution of the United States and of their states,” said Alexander Haberbush, Founder and President of the Lex Rex Institute.
“Those in power have had twenty–two months to figure out how to do that – more time than it took to build the Empire State Building or sculpt Michelangelo’s David – and all we’ve seen are constantly changing standards and illegal mandates. This is not a game of Simon Says. Enough is enough. That’s why LRI is happy to work with Mr. Heath to defeat these measures and secure a return to sanity.”
As part of their new partnership, and because it furthers the legitimate purposes of both organizations, the Lex Rex Institute has agreed to act as a fiscal sponsor for The Gavel Project.
Donations to fund The Gavel Project's operations, including the Lex Rex Institute's involvement in the representation of The Gavel Project's clients, can be made to the Lex Rex Institute by mailing a check to The Lex Rex Institute at P.O. Box 7142, Long Beach, CA 90807. Donors are asked to include “The Gavel Project” in the memo line. Sometime soon, donors will be able to give through The Lex Rex Institute’s website by visiting its “Affiliates” tab at https://www.lexrex.org/affiliates.
