Protesting racism did not start with Colin Kaepernick kneeling nor any of the people peacefully protesting another murder of an unarmed black man (George Floyd) by police.
Years ago, I was invited on a press trip from Kansas City, Kansas to St. Louis, MO, it was a black history tour and it was eye opening for me. I grew up in NYC & lived in Florida. Mostly have lived in CA. We white writers were auctioned off like slaves were and much more (re-enactments).
Remember the Civil War happened because of slavery. The North won, the South lost but the KKK white supremacists went underground until Trump encouraged them out into the open. They voted for him and want to keep him in power.
Martin Luther King III: A man was lynched. In broad daylight. In public. In America. In 2020. And the men responsible have not been arrested.
@CNN just showed a new video in which THREE of the police officers, not just #DerekChauvin, are kneeling on #GeorgeFloyd and he is crying and screaming. This changes the facts--it is not just Chauvin who participated actively. Only Chauvin has been charged with third degree manslaughter according to the MN police department.
On Saturday night there were police who shot at journalists and assaulted an old man with a cane and a young girl, for no reason. AND
tell the media, what also happened last night, #GeorgeFloydProtests in cities around the country from Flint MI to Santa Cruz, CA police and protesters united to #TakeAKnee and #walkwithus No MAGAs showed up at the White House and @Anonymous outed trump
Trump’s Racist America
Trump incited violence on twitter (when the looting starts, the shooting starts), this morning we watch videos of peaceful protesters mourning the killing of another unarmed black man (George Floyd) by police officers. They were infiltrated by violent instigators and a black CNN reporter (Omar Jimenez) was arrested in Minnesota.
Joan Walsh said: Omar Jimenez was thrown in the back of a van. His family was in terror.
CNN said: CNN crew identified themselves, on live television, immediately as journalists. We thank Minnesota
for his swift action this morning to aid in the release of our crew.
Speaking of looters says David From & Atlantic: On the president's loot/shoot tweet, today in

Noel Casler (who worked with Trump on Celebrity Apprentice): Trump went from ‘Make America Great Again’ to ‘When the Looting starts, the Shooting starts’ in less than four years our country is on fire, 100k are dead from a pandemic and a criminal POTUS stokes the flames of racism and threatens to use the military to kill Americans.
Joy Reid: Minneapolis police had no problem immediately arresting a black reporter for covering what they’re doing, but they cannot and will not arrest the officers who participated in the killing of George Floyd. Do I have that right?
Dan Rather: Arresting reporters for doing their jobs is a mark of tyranny and demands a complete investigation and repercussions.
Yvette Nicole Brown: what happened at Auto Zone in Minneapolis was not started by the protestors. This video at least proves that. the white man is vandalizing Auto Zone in Minneapolis and the black man is trying to STOP him. I don’t know if the man is an cop as people say, but either way, he did a lot to shield his identity while doing something that was blamed on others.
Debra Messing: A restrained, calm, handcuffed man was MURDERED by a tax paid official entrusted to protect & serve. It’s not the Left that’s PROTESTING, it’s Non-Racist Americans. Whoops, your white hood is showing.
Chris Vickery: When accepting the honorable duty of enforcing law, it is implicitly understood that if you kneel on a person’s neck for nine minutes, while that person pleads for life, and that person dies as a result, you have acted beyond acceptable standards...
“The man who started this violence is a current St Paul cop! His ex wife ID’d him! Is he a white nationalist or a group trying to take the focus off of our police and the fact that the officers in Mr Floyd’s death haven’t been arrested?” asks Jackie, a local resident on Twitter. She has lived in the area for 51 years.
Some say that they saw the officer in Minnesota at a Trump rally and also wearing a MAGA hat on Twitter, he is a Trump supporter? I think there is a definite link.
“The main thing I’m seeing is anger, heartbreak, mourning, passion and pain. Many people, not just here, feel like the powers that be aren’t hearing the passionate plea for help, for equal justice, for our voices to be heard and action to be taken.
”The local news are doing their jobs to report what is happening. Reporters are on the ground, sometimes in very dangerous situations and helicopters are overhead almost constantly.
”I think and many of us think the local police are racist! These opinions are not just in communities of POC. I personally believe that houses need to be cleaned out. There needs to be a reset and there needs to be accountability. We are not seeing that.
”In the area where this murder happened, a big chunk of the people are white. When fires were started, there were many protestors that grabbed buckets of water to help put out the fires.
”Many local politicians are demanding justice and prosecution of the officers. Our governor and our AG are supporting very loudly to continue to protest. Of course peacefully.
”What I am seeing is that the instigator is an active St Paul cop. His ex wife (allegedly) stayed and confirmed that it was him. Even going as far as to say that the gloves he was wearing and equipment he had belonged to her.
“I have a mixed race family. Over the past 22 years, I have experienced more racial comments and actions than I care to count. We’ve had businesses break ties with our company when they learned that the company owner is black. There are good people here but like anywhere else, humans are humans and they will act as humans do. Sometimes that is not in the best interest of other humans.
“George Floyd died by the hands of the Minneapolis Police officers involved in this tragedy! There needs to be accountability and that does not stop at firing them!”
A Gofundme account has been put up to support the widow and family of George Floyd who have been devastated by the murder.
Last year, a nationwide review conducted by ABC News identified at least 36 criminal cases where Trump was invoked in direct connection with violent acts, threats of violence or allegations of assault.
Mikel Jollett: So being told to wear a mask is “tyranny” but the state-sponsored execution of innocent citizens (the literal definition of tyranny) isn’t? they’d rather watch the country burn than give up the power to terrorize black people.
Protests in Minneapolis against police violence in the US have escalated for a third consecutive night, Many folks think all of this is being orchestrated and some say the GOP needs a Reichstag event to avoid an election.
Jon Cooper: I hope people are taking seriously the possibility of agent provocateurs working to turn peaceful protests into violence. Burning of police station is a big escalation. White supremacist groups and Trump regime are looking for multiple Reichstag fires heading toward the election.
