Never be discouraged by this transient time of chaos. Keep your sight fixed on that far horizon - knowing the far horizon is not really that far. For it is already here, folded within us.
- Dr. Steven Greer
This week my sweet and goofy Cici dog startled me awake with this LOUD sound she used to make to REALLY get my attention (to take her out or feed her). It was OUT LOUD audible. I was dreaming that I had recorded her sounds (could not find that I actually did in our dog travel blog Have dog blog will travel though darn it). My sweet baby dog proceeded to bark and soft growl at me two more times this week.
When I told some people about this experience they said she was comforting me, telling me she is still with me and loves me. One lady told me that her dog Glory came to her numerous times. Others said that their dog or cat came to them in a dream or through a situation reminded them that they were still around.
Cici did that a number of times right after she went over the rainbow (heard her bark in my car, saw a dog that looked like her pass by wearing a coat that she wore that was given to her by Dr. Dani, her vet, and more).
I'm not crying you're crying.
I cannot believe it is only 1 year and a half since she went over the rainbow bridge, in some ways, it seems like a long long LONG time ago.
Your pet is your best friend, and you would do anything for them, right? During the past year, your pet has done the unthinkable for you. Your pet has helped you cope through a pandemic whether they are here on earth or over the rainbow.
No, I’m not just talking about unconditional love (there’s always that!) but really assisted you emotionally through a lockdown (tough times), while not seeing other people for long stretches of time, probably kept your sanity in check, was an exercise pal, and provided you with a playmate, too. Your pet helped provide a sense of normalcy in what has definitely not been a normal time.
Why? Because your pet only knows the unconditional love and attention you show them. They make you laugh and comfort you, too.
Several studies show that pets help fill the gap between human interactions with one another when they’re not available. Pets make us feel less lonely. In essence, pets aid in making our lives whole.
Pets even comfort one another.
Dr. Jeffrey Levy, DVM, CVA, a.k.a. “Dr. Jeff,” a New York City-based acupuncture housecall vet has released his new song and video he’s composed, “21st Century Pet.” This song, which can be viewed two ways on YouTube, has a simple but important health message: if we must stay home due to the pandemic, let our pets help us cope.
Dr. Jeff, also a musician, sings to his animal patients and their owners on his visits! His original pop/rock melodies are what he calls pet-centric songs and provide added comfort in these challenging times.
Dr. Jeff encourages people with children to use his animated version of his song to comfort and teach young children about the pandemic situation and how to cope, with the assistance of our animal friends.
“21st Century Pet” can be viewed on YouTube here:
A catchy, feel-good, sing-a-long version, with his friends and family participating in the performance:
An animated, character-driven version, which appeals more to children:
“The amount of emotional support that pets supply to people is incalculable, and it is something I witness on a daily basis as I perform my rounds as a housecall veterinarian in New York City. I simply wanted to honor this treasured relationship in an artistic form. Of course, we feed and shelter these creatures in our homes,” says Dr. Jeff, “but in return they shower us with their endless love and entertain us with their innocent antics.” In addition, “I want to encourage those who do not currently have an animal companion and who are feeling lonely and isolated to perhaps adopt a pet from their local animal shelter.”

Good Samaritans Wanted
I know you want to help people in your community, so how about collecting donations for Vitamin C, D3, zinc & quercetin and give them to vulnerable low income people, in the neighborhood, seniors & people without homes, people with dark skin especially need the Vitamin D to prevent the virus (experimental shots don't & come with serious adverse side effects)
Hundreds of doctors and scientists who have been saving people's lives have signed the letter (link) and so far been ignored by leaders, governmental agencies and politicians.
Thanks.
Let's create MIRACLES and get the word out, thanks.
